Appointing an Authorised Representative

Clublinks – Authorised Representative or Advocate Policy



Clublinks is committed to giving consideration and assistance to customers who because of either, a language difficulty, illness or disability require a person to act as an Authorised Representative or Advocate in dealings with Clublinks.

If you intend to accompany the Authorised Representative or Advocate to a meeting If you bring a Representative or Advocate to a meeting you must clearly state the extent to which the person is authorized to act for you or bring a signed Authority and indicate that you understand the powers that you are transferring to the Agent.

The Authority should clearly state whether the Agent has the authority to:

  • Make changes to the Customer’s account; or telecommunications Services
  • Access information regarding the Customer’s account.

If you intend to send an Authorised Representative or Advocate to act on your behalf. If you send a Representative or Advocate to a meeting, that person must carry either a Power of Attorney, or a signed letter of Authority that clearly states the extent to which the person is authorized to act for you and indicate that you understand the powers that you are transferring to the Agent.

If the document is an Authority, it should clearly state whether the Agent has the authority to:

  • Make changes to the Customer’s account; or telecommunications Services;
  • Access information regarding the Customer’s account;
  • Agree to payment terms if necessary.

Clublinks Actions

Except in the case of a Power of Attorney, Clublinks will if possible call the Customer to verify the letter of Authority.

Clublinks will also file a copy of the Authority or Power of Attorney and keep a record on file of the circumstances and date that the Authorised Representative was appointed and the details of the actions taken.
